Frequently Asked Questions About Bootcamp

I’ve heard about bootcamps, they sound intense and intimidating. Am I “in shape” enough for your bootcamp?

Each of our classes is attended by people of all fitness levels, from the beginner to the hardcore. All of our exercises can be modified to an easy, medium or hard version. The bootcamp instructor will help you in choosing the right exercises to ensure you get a good workout, but don’t kill yourself :-) If you’re really and truly not ready for bootcamp, we may suggest a few one on one sessions with a personal trainer.

Can I bring my child?

We have a small children’s room inside the bootcamp room. It has satellite TV (all the cartoon channels), a table and chairs and several toys/games. Please be aware that THIS ROOM IS UNSUPERVISED! So it is at the parents discretion whether you feel comfortable bringing your child.

Where are the bootcamps held at?

We hold the bootcamps at Northwest Personal Training Center, located near the intersection of Stuebner Airline and Spring Cypress...just across from the Pumpkin Patch.

Our physical address is:  19106 Stuebner Airline Rd.  Spring, TX  77379

Do I have to do the same times every week?

No, you can do any combination of days/times  per week that you want.  And it can vary week to week.

When I join the bootcamp, can I use your gym (treadmills, ellipticals, weight machines, etc.)?

No, you will not have access to the gym and it’s equipment. As a bootcamper, you will only be able to access the “bootcamp room.” However, if you become a member of the gym…then you are more than welcome to use the equipment.

Do you have showers for the bootcampers?

You DO NOT have access to showers as a bootcamper. However, if you become a member of the gym…then you are more than welcome to use the shower.

What should I bring to the class, and what should I wear?

The class is indoors (with AC) 95% of the time. However, for a change of pace and scenery we may go outside on some occasions, so please dress accordingly. We provide you with bottled water and sweat towels…so really you don’t have to bring anything.

I have a bad (ankle, knee, back, elbow, shoulder, etc), will I be able to do the bootcamp without hurting myself?

Depending on the problem area, we may recommend a visit to the doctor. And once cleared, we may suggest a few sessions with a personal trainer to help you get strong enough for the bootcamp. Before you start, we also perform a Functional Movement Screen, which allows us to confirm that you are physically able to perform the most common movements in bootcamp. Again, if the results indicate you have some problem areas… we may suggest a few sessions with a personal trainer to help you get strong enough for the bootcamp. While doing bootcamp, if you ever experience pain in a joint during class, please let the instructor know immediately…we can usually modify an exercise to correct the problem.

Is the bootcamp just for women?

No, there are several men who come and enjoy the class.  In fact, some women enjoy bringing their husbands in.

I still have a question before I start.

If we have not answered your question, please feel free to call (281) 860-7644 and leave a message on our 24-Hr voicemail.  We will get back to you as quick as possible…and be happy to answer any questions that you may have.
